The inspiration for AMOR & CRABBY'S TREASURE ADVENTURES sprang to life during the writer’s Florida vacation when she and her family competed to catch the biggest, baddest crab on the beach.

Crabby's character was inspired by Garfield and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. 

The writer has a dog just like Lucky, but his real-life name is Jax. He enjoys naps, eating BBQ, and writing with the author.  

The shipwreck treasure Amor and her crew hunt in the story is real. Amor's hometown is nicknamed, 'The Treasure Coast of Florida' because people still find treasure from the 1715 Spanish Treasure Fleet shipwrecks there.

The pirates in the Flying Gang really stole some of the shipwreck treasure. However, the pirate Cunning Christopher Wild, along with his clues to the treasure, are fictional. 

Queen Elisabeth's jewels sunk along with the Spanish Treasure Fleet and still haven't been found to this day. Who knows, maybe the Crabby Crew will search for the jewels in their next big adventure.
